From January 16th to January 18th, Phi Delta Epsilon traveled to La Jolla, San Diego for a two day winter retreat. The fraternity spent time together. We laughed together, shared stories, and cried together. From this two day getaway, we continue and strengthen our family bond.
Gamma Class was initiated this Saturday, adding twelve amazing students to Phi Delta Epsilon. These students came together and planned an informative doctor panel, raffle fundraiser, and an entertaining Halloween social. Congratulations to Gamma Class and welcome to the family!
During the evening, Gamma Class hosted a four doctor panel for the fraternity. The doctors (Dr. Pengson, Dr. Maheshwari, Dr. Yusafaly, and Dr. Yusafaly) spoke about their experience in the medical profession, from attending medical school to interacting with patients, and answered our questions regarding their professions. Although there are social and economic benefits, in becoming a doctor, the main factor that motivate these doctors is their compassion to help the community; the idea that they could help people and change their lives is enough for these doctors to continue working hard. Gamma's educational has been very informative and enlightening.
Our Beta Class was initiated this Sunday, welcoming 10 more amazing and motivated premedical students to our growing family. Our third class to join our chapter, the group planned a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for the Children's Miracle Network and a fun Scavenger Hunt social, bringing new and creative ideas for events to the fraternity. Congratulations to our Beta Babies!
After 7 long weeks, Alpha Class was initiated on November 24th into the CA Delta Chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon. The 14 new members planned a social at Sky Zone, a fundraiser at Jafang's Pizza, an educational with a student at the UCR School of Medicine, a service event at the UCR Botanic Gardens, and a very successful raffle for Children's Miracle Network, in addition to attending new member educationals. Congratulations on all of your hard work Alpha Class, and welcome to the family!
This fall quarter, Phi Delta Epsilon CA-Delta Chapter held our first rush week ever. We were humbled by the amount of interest shown in our fraternity already with such little time established on UC Riverside's campus. We had a great turnout for our events and the founding class had a great time meeting the various pre-medical undergraduates on campus. We would like to thank everyone for coming out to our events and making our very first rush week successful. For those who couldn't join us fall quarter, we would love to see you again during the spring!
